SENIOR THESIS SUBMISSION
For its sixth volume, The Interdependent is inviting undergraduate alumni from across New York University to submit their senior-thesis/honors-thesis research and creative productions focused on any aspect of global studies. Housed in Global Liberal Studies at New York University, The Interdependent is an open-access online undergraduate research journal. Committed to exploring the global commons across the sciences, social sciences, and humanities, The Interdependent fosters multidisciplinary research and discussion on global interdependence and cross-cultural encounters, and encourages global empathy. The Interdependent is indexed by Crossref and offers Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) for each published article and creative work.
Manuscript submissions generally are no longer than 25 pages, typed and double-spaced: indicate word count, concentration/department/school affiliation, and title on page one; paginate in lower right corner; use MLA 8th edition or Chicago 17th edition style for bibliographies and footnotes; omit cover sheets; .doc or .docx files preferred. Film and multimedia submissions generally are no longer than 20 minutes, contain a URL link, and concentration/department/school affiliation on a .doc or .docx file. Submissions of full senior theses and longer creative productions are accepted. Our editors will work with our authors to create a shorter stand-alone article or creative production.
Each submission should omit all author-identifying material for anonymous peer review and must be accompanied by an abstract of no more than 150 words, explaining the topic and thesis of the submission and the way in which it contributes to global studies. Revised and updated introductions explaining new developments since the submission date of your original thesis are welcome wherever warranted. No submissions of previously published work; no simultaneous submissions.
Label your .doc or .docx file: title_concentrationordepartment/school.
