眼 is the first part of 眼睛. I remember 眼 by first noting that the first radical is an eye, which is pretty straight forward. It also looks like a sideways eye. The second part of this character reminds me of a sideways eye with some eyeliner.
The left side looks like the sun radical with an extra line in the middle and the right side is the same right side as 很, so you use these to REALLY look at that SUN
