For first time users of the large format printer, please sign up for an in person office hour session via the sign up.
To make a request for a large format print please prepare your file(s) following the guidelines and send to this email idm.printlab@gmail.com
Print requests will be available for pick ups on Wednesday (12PM – 2PM) or Friday (10AM – 5PM).
If a desired day and time for pick up is required, please send the prepared print file no later than 48 hours before desired day.
The printer can print up to 36 inches. Your file must fit within that width.
For example, if you have a print size that is 72″ x 24″, that is an acceptable print size. However, if you have a file that is 48″ x 40″, that is not acceptable.
Currently we have two types of paper rolls available:*
Students are limited to 96 inches (8 feet) in total length per print requests.
*If the paper types or length limits are not desired, you are welcomed to bring your own sheets or rolls to print on the machine, as long as they fit to the printer.
Preferred file type is a Photoshop (PSD) or Illustrator (AI) files.
Acceptable file formats as follows: JPEG (or JPG), PNG, GIF, TIFF, PSD ,PDF, EPS, AI, INDD, RAW.
