Teaching/classroom resources
We want instructors to be supported not only in their technical needs, but also in their pedagogical practice. Faculty are always encouraged to reach out for discussion, questions, or things you’ve found to be useful in the classroom to share.
NYU also has a number of formal resources for faculty, including :
- NYU’s Learning Experience Design, supports teaching innovation and excellence through consultations about teaching and course design, teaching observations, TeachTalks, pedagogy workshops, and special initiatives to advance the teaching and learning mission at NYU.
- NYU Teaching and Learning Resource Center – resources to help faculty, instructional technologists, and other teaching specialists improve student performance both in and outside of the classroom.
- Center for Faculty Advancement connects and collaborates with the NYU community to recruit, retain, develop and advance faculty whose research, teaching and public engagement will positively impact the scholarly community and the world.
- Faculty Resource Network – A professional development consortium that sponsors programs for faculty and administrators from a nationwide network of over 50 colleges and universities.
- Tandon Faculty Innovations in Teaching and Learning Center (FITL) –
Partnership with faculty and staff to promote innovative teaching strategies and technologies for learning at the NYU Tandon School of Engineering.
