Final Project Process #2
The first step in the process of realizing this project is to breadboard a version of the circuit I am about to design in Eagle and mill in Bantam.
For this I am using a 1.8″ TFT display breakout board. I followed the Adafruit tutorial to get the screen wired to the Arduino and ran a simple example sketch to see the display is working and the wiring was correct.
Now that I know the display works it’s on to figure out how to load bitmaps onto the microSD card and display them.
Followed the Adafruit guide to the T and was able to display my on files off the Micro SD card reader. which was super exciting
I noticed that contrary to what we had thought I could not use the ATTiny 85 because any which way I turn it I need 9 pins.
so moving to an ATTiny84 and looking at that microcontroller to understand how to connect it to the cared holder and the display.
At the same time I have been working on my Eagle file and looking at the Adafruit schematic to see their connections and eliminating parts I don’t need but also adding a lipo battery charger.
