Late winter, train station.
I, together with my best friend, wondered along the village – we used to do so every day. But this time, behind us are 2 big suitcases. My friend is leaving, to another city. We got on the bus, moving towards the train station. Neither of us are sure about when will we meet again, we just stayed together, enjoy the very minutes together.
The bus stopped at the train station, we get down, and passed the security check. The waiting room is crowded with people, some are calling up on their cell phone, some are taking care and pacifying their baby, some are smoking (you can hear the sound of the zippo)…
We heard the rumble of the train before seeing it. I really can’t confront the farewell. I step forward, reaching out my arms, and hugged him. The environment seems to have turned silent as if no one is beside us. What I heard is only the sound of his heart beat and breath.
The whistle of train broke the transient silence, it is really the time to leave. We loosen our arms. I tapped him shoulder, help him move his suitcase to the train. As the train gradually speeded up. I ran a little bit, waved goodbye, and see him disappearing gradually at the end or the rail.
