Look at this blue dot on the photo that the Voyager 1 took in 1990. Living on this tiny blue dot, we are incredibly small beings in the vastness of the universe.
Look at another picture. Through this image, I even imagined that the Earth, this tiny blue dot, could be someone’s brain. If that were the case, we would become even smaller beings. Carl Sagan once said upon seeing the first picture, “For small creatures such as we, the vastness is bearable only through love.”
I totally agree with his perspective. Can we really change this blue dot, or rather, the universe, by working tirelessly every day? Maybe not. At the same time, however, it means that there will be no problem or noticeable impact even if we take breaks occasionally. Therefore, in Project B, I want to help people find some moments of rest and tranquility for a while through my website.
Then, how can I satisfy the people? To resolve this question, I thought about how I personally relieve stress. It was simple. It involves watching beautiful landscapes, listening to pleasant sounds, enjoying delicious food, and engaging in conversations with people. Thus, I will incorporate these fundamental aspects into the website.
In the visual section, I want to create a beautiful night sky with falling meteors using the particles we learned. In the auditory part, clicking the mouse will trigger relaxing sounds like birds singing or the sound of a forest stream. For the taste part, I will include pixel images that stimulate the taste senses, and for the olfactory part, I will give some instructions using a video to help people meditate with their perfumes or hand creams. Lastly, in the brain section, I will create a looping canvas like the one below, continuously repeating the universe within the brain and vice versa, sending the message that we are truly small beings and the smaller we are, the more we should cherish and love each other, and take breaks.
