Chaco Canyon lands and its environs are dynamic, living lands continually occupied by indigenous people and now under attack by mining interests. Among other things, they are extraordinarily remarkable for their natural beauty, quiet, archaeological interest, and dark skies.
Margaret Wadsworth is the Senior Organizer for Food & Water Watch in New Mexico. She works in coalition to build support for a moratorium on fracking and factory farms so that New Mexico has a future with clean air, water, and land for its communities. Margaret previously worked as a political, community, and student organizer in Ohio, Louisiana, and Maryland. She is the former Executive Director of the Northern Youth Project, a teen center focused on arts and agriculture in rural northern New Mexico. She has a BA in anthropology from Smith College.
