Description:
The International Studio & Curatorial Program is seeking an Interim Development Coordinator in East Williamsburg, NY. ISCP is a not-for-profit, residency-based contemporary art center for emerging to mid-career artists and curators from around the world. Key activities:
● Oversee fundraising initiatives, including grant applications, fundraising events, individual giving
● Prepare funding applications for individuals, government, foundation, and corporate support; manage interim and year end reporting to funders
● Manage and direct fundraising events, including the annual benefit and online auction scheduled for March 9, 2025
● Collaborate with with Development Associate to manage and prioritize tasks
● Liaise with funders regarding special projects as needed
● Liaise with Deputy Director on budget for fundraising
● Liaise with communications staff to supply text for newsflashes pertaining to fundraising initiatives
● Advocate for diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility at ISCP
Education and experience:
● A minimum of three years experience in contemporary arts fundraising, preferably in a nonprofit environment
● Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced environment
● Attention to detail, ability to prioritize, problem solve, and multitask
● Supervisory experience
● Familiarity with grant writing
● Bachelor’s degree or equivalent number years’ experience
● Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office and G Suite; Salesforce/database experience a plus
This is a temporary contract role for 24 hours a week with an hourly rate of $35-38, commensurate with experience.
