The Museum of Arts and Design is seeking a Membership Administrator who will play a crucial role in cultivating and expanding the museum’s membership base. This position is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to attract, engage, and retain members, fostering a sense of community and support for MAD. This employee will also have extensive knowledge of Raisers Edge.
The Museum of Arts and Design has a mission to explore how craftsmanship, art, and design intersect in the visual arts today. Compensation and Schedule
This is a full-time, onsite, exempt position with compensation between $68,000 – $75,000 per annum. Your anticipated schedule will be Monday thru Friday 9:30 am – 5:30 pm, with some nights and weekends based on Museum events.
Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
Membership Development
- Develop and execute strategies to grow and diversify the museum’s membership base.
- Implement targeted campaigns to acquire new members and retain existing ones.
- Provides front line service and communication to members to include handling member requests and inquiries, answering questions for potential members, processing new member applications and previous member renewals.
- Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to create compelling membership promotions and materials.
Member Engagement
- Design and oversee programs and events that enhance the membership experience to include but not limited to creation and execution of a young patron’s gala.
- Foster strong relationships with members through regular communication and personalized engagement initiatives.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure members have exclusive access to special exhibitions, events, and programs.
Data Management
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date membership records in the donor database.
- Utilize data to analyze membership trends, identify opportunities for growth, and make data-driven decisions.
- Assist as necessary with donor database (Raiser’s Edge) upkeep.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, arts management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in membership development, preferably in a cultural institution.
- Familiarity with fundraising databases and CRM systems; proficiency in Raiser’s Edge or similar software.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
- Creative thinker with a passion for the arts and culture.
- Must be able to work nights and weekends.
