The American Museum of Natural History is seeking a Coordinator in the Events department of Institutional Advancement. The successful candidate will perform a vital function within the Museum by helping to ensure that all benefit, stewardship, and cultivation events are executed to their utmost capacity.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Learn and maintain operational protocol for all Institutional Advancement events.
- Plan and execute small events and meetings.
- Develop and manage multiple timelines and task lists.
- Interface with Donors and Senior Museum Management.
- Manage printing, production and mailing schedules.
- Liaise with Museum Operations.
- Monitor proposals and contracts from external vendors to ensure cost efficiency.
The expected salary range for the Development Coordinator is $48,000 – 55,000. This position is overtime eligible and the AMNH offers an extensive benefits package designed to meet the needs of our dedicated and diverse community.
Pay will be determined based on several factors. The hiring range for the position at commencement is based on the type of work and the scope of responsibilities. The salary and placement offered is based on a number of individualized factors, including, but not limited to, skills, knowledge, training, education, credentials, areas of specialization and depth and scope of experience.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Approximately 2 years of event, or similar work experience
- Capable of managing multiple projects and prioritizing tasks in order to meet deadlines
- Adroit problem-solving skills.
- Ability to think strategically.
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
- Ability to work independently, as well as a member of a team.
- Ability to lead and guide staff on-site.
- Solid Computer skills, including: MS Word, Excel.
