Independent Contractor to support School Programs Exhibition at The Museum of Modern Art

Job Title: Independent Contractor

Location: New York, NY

The Department of Learning and Engagement at The Museum of Modern Art seeks
independent contractor from March through May to assist with the planning and implementation of an upcoming school partnership exhibition in the Cullman Education building

Scope of work:
● Assist with organizing, transcribing, and formatting exhibition text
● Assist with framing artworks, exhibition installation and deinstallation
● Assist with planning and implementing exhibition opening for student artists and families

Desired skills and qualifications:
● Experience handling student artwork
● Basic knowledge of design and word processing software
● Experience working with K-12 students, teachers, and families
● Ability to organize and install works of art
● Some knowledge of modern and contemporary art
