The Museum of Modern Art is currently accepting applications for a Development Associate, Marketing Operations to join the Membership team within the External Affairs department. This role will support the Manager of Analytics and Planning in operationalizing all marketing efforts across email, mail, social, and web channels. We are seeking a process-oriented individual with excellent organization skills and an eye for efficiency to oversee the creation and distribution of deliverables that will drive retention, acquisition, and upgrades across our member base.Additional Responsibilities Include
- Oversees email and direct mail channels with an emphasis on building deliverables that will drive revenue and member retention, acquisitions, and upgrades.
- Takes a comprehensive approach to membership marketing programs to ensure channels are being utilized in the most effective way.
- Works with outside direct mail vendors on maintaining complex mailing schedules and data processing.
- Oversees specifications and quality for new creative materials; transfers and organizes lists; routes proofs and gains approval for design and copy.
- Maintains weekly email calendar, builds and routes all department emails, and maintains all relevant membership segments and automations.
- Updates Museum website and event registration pages with copy, images, and programming details.
- Conducts basic reporting and keeps summary-level email performance databases updated.
- Organizes hub of marketing documentation, including marketing production schedules, active promotions, segments, and email automations.
- Serves as department lead for CRM oversight. Tasks include managing recurring workflows, collaborating with IT on related projects, and customer support escalation.
- Performs any other duties reasonably related to the functions described above.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and two to three years’ experience in a marketing operations role or equivalent.
- Superior organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel.
- Budget and database experience preferred.
- Prior experience in a Development office is a plus.
- Knowledge of modern and contemporary art a plus.
