Description:
CITYarts is a 33-year-old non-profit public art organization that engages youth led by professional artists in the creative process of producing public murals and mosaic that impact their lives and transform our communities.
We are looking for a Project Coordinator who:
● Is passionate, hard-working, committed, detail-oriented and enthusiastic about project management
● Is able to be hands-on and working in-person at our offices
● Able to take on a leadership role by managing multiple CITYarts youth interns, including delegating tasks and completing intern evaluations
● Has meticulous planning and organizational skills, great at multitasking, takes initiative, understands prioritizing and sense of urgency, and has knowledge of artists, art materials, and public art
● Is a capable self-starter who works well as an individual, accepts directions, and works well in a team
● Thrives in a fast-paced environment and comfortable with managing multiple projects simultaneously
– this involves liaising with schools, community leaders, and artists by coordinating the logistics of various workshops, mural, and mosaic projects
QUALIFICATIONS
● Master’s Degree required
● 2 years of project management experience required
● Professional verbal and written communication skills required
● Relevant work experience, preferably in the non-profit sector
● Social media experience preferred
● Management experience preferred
● Understanding of the nonprofit sector and philanthropy preferred
● Experience with a variety of software programs, including Excel, Word processing,
proficient with Mac and PC
● Experience with Constant Contact and Salesforce is a plus
● Prior work with youth and sensitivity to youth issues preferred
● Prior experience working with budgets preferred
DUTIES
● Manage and keep organized all digital and paper documentation for all projects across all
programs, including invoices, artist contracts, photographs, lesson plans, budget files,
testimonials/evaluations, correspondence, income and expenses, etc.
● Liaise with multiple contacts across multiple projects, including government officials,
community organizations, school representatives, professional artists, and youth
● Ensure workshops and projects are running according to schedule; check that all parties
involved have the resources they need to complete the project.
● Recruit and manage intern responsibilities, participation in projects, delegation of tasks,
and completing intern evaluations
● Coordinate logistics for site programming, special events, and exhibitions
● Identify and manage outreach to community, schools, youth and senior programs
● Create CITYarts social media content
● Write press releases and conduct press outreach

● Health Insurance is provided if needed after 90 days of employment
● $40,000 annual salary
