Job $19/hr – May and June – Museum visitor surveys – April 28

Frankly, Green + Webb is conducting evaluations of audio guides and mobile apps at several New York cultural organizations. We seek fieldworkers to conduct visitor surveys at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, MoMA and the New York Botanical Garden Thursdays-Sundays May 11-June 5.
Required:
- Languages: Must speak fluent English. Fluency in Mandarin, Spanish, French or German is desirable, but not required.
- You must be personable, find it easy to engage people in conversation and be able to draw out answers through conversation
- You should be confident, able to take plenty of rejections and keep going.
- You should be fit and energetic: you will be on your feet for much of the day
- You should be self-motivated and able to think on your feet: you will be working independently for large parts of the day
- You should be able to represent FG+W and the museums with grace and diplomacy
Desirable:
- Previous research experience is desirable but not required
- Experience working with the public in a customer service capacity
- Experience working in museums or other visitor attractions
- Familiarity with issues being studied: mobile technology, museum interpretation
Availability
Surveying will take plan Thurs-Sunday between May 11 and June 5. Working hours are generally 12pm – 6pm.
You must be available for a brief telephone interview between Tuesday May 2 and Friday May 5.
Rates
Fieldworkers will be paid at a rate of $19 per hour
