Program Manager at Museum Hue
PROGRAM MANAGER
The Program Manager will provide leadership, direction, and coordination of Museum Hue’s programs for members and the larger public. They are responsible for the research, development, planning, scheduling, managing, implementing, and evaluating an array of program activities. The individual in this position will ensure that the programs serve Museum Hue’s mission.
Responsibilities:

Implement new program activities for Museum Hue’s community;

Foster a sense of community for members by providing opportunities to learn, connect, and network through programs;

Cultivate relationships with arts leaders and other stakeholders;
-
Expand webinar series, recorded interviews, and all other virtual programs;
-
Assist in creating and implementing a digital multimedia strategy centering programs: including but not limited to social media campaigns, flyers, blog posts, articles, etc;

Collect assets (photographs, videos, etc) for the programs/database/website;
-
Assist in administrative needs: update website, member database, mailing lists, etc;
-
Develop workshop and other professional development opportunities;
-
Draft and schedule various email communications using the Mailchimp platform;

Contribute to the creation of a comprehensive list of Black, Indigenous, and other people of color’s arts entities;

Assess the possibilities of periodic Covid safe in-person programmatic activities
-
Explore grant funding opportunities, respond to eligible grant proposals and ensure effective record keeping relative to grant funds;

Manage budgets for program activities;
-
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
-
Has access to technology to work remotely;
-
Can attend in-person meetings (once a month or as needed in accordance with COVID-safe policies);

Familiarity with New York’s arts and culture landscape;

Interest in Black, Indigenous, and other people of color’s arts and culture;
-
At least 4-5 years experience in the arts & culture field;
-
Professional interpersonal communication skills, written, oral, and over Zoom;
-
Excellent organizational, analytical, problem solving, and interpreting data skills;
-
Well-organized, attentive to details, and goal-oriented;
-
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Suite, Zoom, and social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter);

Enjoys working in teams and collaborating; and has a good sense of humor.
Additional Information:

This position works a 40-hour workweek, generally Monday through Friday.

Reports directly to Museum Hue’s Executive Director.

Classified as Full Time employment.

Compensation is $70,000 annually.

No educational minimum requirement to be considered for the position as long as the applicant has equivalent/relevant experience.
