Summer Travel Grant

NYU’s Center for Ancient Studies is once again offering small grants for summer or term-time study through its Antonina S. Ranieri International Scholars Fund. These grants are intended to support academic travel abroad by Arts and Science undergraduate or graduate students who are studying any aspect of the ancient world. Grants are generally under $2,000 and may be taken in conjunction with other awards. The Ranieri Fund supports both independent study (e.g., research in foreign libraries or museums) and participation in formal programs (e.g., Goethe Institut language courses, archaeological digs, and international conferences).  Students who will have graduated before the proposed travel abroad takes place are not eligible for the grants.

Students should submit a brief description of the project explaining how it relates to their studies, an itemized budget, CV, and detailed letter of support from a NYU faculty sponsor. APPLICATIONS ARE DUE BY MONDAY, APRIL 1, 2019, for this summer or the next academic year.
