EXHIBITION RESEARCH COORDINATOR

POSITION OVERVIEW: The exhibition research coordinator supports research and content development for exhibition displays in the museum galleries, on digital platforms, and other exhibition projects that chronicle the 9/11attacks, the events that preceded them, and their aftermath. This position’s work is primarily performed through research and fact checking,with an emphasis on thoroughly reviewing department-created content for accuracy, clarity, and consistency within institutional guidelines.The coordinator will help maintain and facilitate best practices for research, fact checking, and citations and inform project schedules for the exhibitions department.The coordinator will also serve as a content developer on select exhibition projects, including temporary installations and gallery rotations. This work may include conducting primary and secondary source research, interpretive planning, drafting exhibition text, tracking assets and licensing, and creating deliverables. The coordinator will work on other special projects as assigned. This is a full-time, nonexempt position that reports to the exhibitions research specialist.
