We can work with the intern’s academic institution with the option to give school credit, although this is not required. The intern will receive free access to SI program and incredible opportunities to mingle with renowned visual artists, performers, and curators.

Description
Swiss Institute is seeking a reliable and motivated intern with an interest in contemporary art, development, and administration, with availability from mid-January to March. Swiss Institute is an independent non-profit contemporary art institution dedicated to promoting forward-thinking and experimental art making through innovative exhibitions and programs. 
 
TASKS will include but are not limited to: 
• Assisting with development research and outreach
• Assisting with fundraising events
• Short-term curatorial projects, exhibition production, and educational research
• Administrative tasks and database entry
 
REQUIREMENTS:
• Computer skills, with a knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe. Adobe Photoshop and InDesign is a plus.
• Experience with eTapestry or Raiser’s edge, or any fundraising database preferred but not necessary
•Language skills in French, German, or Italian are a plus but not necessary
• Attention to detail and organizational skills 
• Must be proactive, able to take on tasks on your own
 
HOURS:
Applicants must be able to commit to a minimum of three days per week, Monday-Friday. SI offers three months minimum internships, and as long as six months.
