Part-time Job – Director – Bronx Art Space – Nov. 20
Position: Director BronxArtSpace
Part Time: 24 hrs per week, or 3 days per week
Bronx Art Space is a small, vibrant arts-focused non-profit with the mission of presenting exhibitions of under-represented themes and artists. This job is an opportunity to oversee the growth of this thriving community-based art center.
Availability: To begin by mid-January
Necessary Qualifications:
Experience as assistant manager or manager of non-profit arts organization/ programing.
Familiar with QuickBooks. Self-starter, excellent communication and writing skills. Strong familiarity and affiliation with the Bronx.
BA minimum education level; bi-lingual skills are a plus.
Responsibilities:
Work with approximately 7 guest curators to create exhibitions and their public programs; supervise off-site residency program and community engagement; lead fundraising efforts, research and complete grant applications, pursue local collaborators and donors, handle rentals, and manage press, marketing and advertising on social media, website, newsletter and printed materials. Coordinate volunteers. Bookkeeping.
