High School degree (foreign equivalent or higher). Experience with art installation. Experience working conducting tours in art galleries.

Preferred Qualifications
Formal education courses relating to work or some experience working in an office setting. Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

Brief Description Of Duties
The Gallery Assistant is a part time position reporting directly to the Director of the Pollock-Krasner House and Study Center. The Gallery Assistant performs a wide range of functions, including gallery sitting, assisting with tours or other programs, set-up for special events, archival organization and digitization, admissions, social media content creation, exhibition installation, and other duties as assigned. The Gallery Assistant will earn experience in a range of curatorial functions including exhibition design, research, marketing, didactic and label writing, catalog production, art transport, gallery preparation, and art installation.

  • Assist with tours
  • Set up for events.
  • Clerical.
  • Exhibition installation.
  • Other Duties as assigned.

The Research Foundation of SUNY is a private educational corporation. Employment is subject to the Research Foundation policies and procedures, sponsor guidelines and the availability of funding. FLSA Non-Exempt position, eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA.

Evening And Weekend Work May Be Required At Times.
