(P/T, Temp) Development Assistant at The Morgan Library & Museum

Job Title: Development Assistant 

Job Status: Part-time, temporary

Location: New York, NY

Salary: $22/hour


The Morgan Library & Museum invites applications for the temporary position of Development Assistant. Reporting to the Director of Institutional Advancement, the Development Assistant provides essential administrative support. Primary responsibilities include assisting with basic gift processing for Membership/Association of Fellows; generating receipts and basic acknowledgment letters; processing general correspondence and mailings such as renewals, acknowledgments and other administrative tasks. This is a temporary two to three-day-a-week position.

Qualifications: 

  • Prior work in an office setting; nonprofit experience a plus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially mail merges)
  • Basic knowledge of and comfort using Raiser’s Edge or similar CRM system
  • Ability to work collaboratively with Department staff
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with keen attention to details
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an understanding of customer service.
  • Effective oral communication skills.
  • Highly developed writing skills.
  • Ability to work for extended periods on the computer.

Compensation: $22 per hour.
