Job Title: Manager of Marketing & Digital Strategy
Job Status: Full-time
Location: New York, NY
Salary: $60,000 to $75,000
Reporting to the Director of Public Relations, Special Events & Marketing and working closely with the Special Events and Public Relation Associate, the Director of Marketing & Digital Strategy creates and executes marketing plans to increase awareness, attendance and engagement with the HSM&L’s exhibitions, programs and events. Leads the development of digital marketing campaigns across various platforms, including social media, email marketing and website optimization. Also oversees the creation of compelling and relevant continent across digital platforms. Ensures consistency of the HSM&L voice across all marketing channels and materials.
Responsibilities
- Strategic thinking around digital content and marketing of the HSM&L’s exhibitions, programs and events.
- Create content strategy across various digital platforms, including social media, email marketing and website optimization.
- Coordinate with departments across the museum to promote exhibitions, programs and events.
- Manage and update website.
- Stay up-to-date with digital technology trends.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- B.A. in Communication or Marketing with Marketing or industry experience.
- Experience with website maintenance.
- Strong writing and editing skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and presentations skills
- Attention to detail, critical-thinker and problem-solver.
Preferred Qualification
· Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
- Interest in Hispanic art, literature, and culture helpful.
Technology Skills
- Hootsuite, Illustrator, MS Power Point, and other design software.
- Expertise with social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube.

- Conveying the messages and values of the HSM&L;
- Engaging with digital audience, stakeholders and influencers;
- Monitoring and updating content under the supervision of the Director of Public Relations. Special Events & Marketing.
