Hugh Seidman was a renowned poet who emerged in the late 1960’s when his first
book “Collecting Evidence” won the Yale Younger Poets Prize (1969). He was a
student of Louis Zukofsky and, later, Adrienne Rich. The publishers of his seven
volumes of poetry include: Yale University Press, Doubleday, and Random House.

The Seidman estate is seeking a library science intern with excellent skills from
June through August for the organization and cataloging of Mr. Seidman’s
correspondence, drafts of work, notebooks, photographs, digital files, and
supplementary materials (teaching, reviews, awards, grant applications, and so
forth). The intern can negotiate a reasonable hourly rate and schedule, and might
arrange with their school for credit.

The work would take place in the West Village
at the writer’s residence/workspace under supervision of his literary executors.
