Cultural Resource Specialist – Ste. Genevieve, MO, National Parks Service

Note: This opportunity was shared via email. See details below.

Greetings,

I am the superintendent at Ste. Genevieve National Historical Park, a unit of the National Park Service which “preserves and interprets French culture and colonialism and its impacts on North America during a time when Spanish, British, and other nations and empires competed for economic, religious, and political dominance in North America.” We are in the process of hiring a Cultural Resource Management Specialist at the park, and I would like your help in finding dynamic, self-starters to apply.

This position is being advertised as a GS-11 (salary range – $69,107 to $89,835 per year) historian or museum curator. The incumbent will build the park’s cultural resource program and have overall responsibility for the program, including research needs, Section 106 compliance, resource monitoring, and oversight of the museum, archival, and library collections. Please note we will share the job link with you once the position is officially announced. Please share this with any professionals you know who are looking for a new adventure. I’m attaching a link to our new park’s Foundation Document to share more about the history, people, architecture, stories, preservation and mission: Foundation Document – Ste. Geneviève National Historical Park (U.S. National Park Service) (nps.gov)

If you, or anyone who might be interested in applying, has any questions about the job, feel free to reach out to me (christopher_collins@nps.gov). Thank you in advance for helping spread the word about this upcoming opportunity.

Sincerely,

Chris
