Reporting to the Director, Membership, the Membership & Marketing Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the museum’s marketing, membership, tourism, and neighborhood efforts. The role provides general administrative and operational support across both the Membership and Marketing teams.
Responsibilities
- Support for all direct marketing initiatives – assisting with project management and production efforts for media plans and membership projects
- Assisting with the usage tracking and development of new and refreshed collateral projects, including membership welcome packages, neighborhood postcards onsite promotional displays, marketing materials, and more
- Producing, executing, and approval routing for institutional email marketing campaigns
- Coordinating all membership fulfillment initiatives, including the review and sending out of membership packages
- Submitting updates for membership and marketing web pages with an eye to accuracy and effectiveness
- Write copy, compile images, and captions for various ongoing efforts as well as provide proofreading and quality assurance checks on communications and print materials
- Assist with neighborhood engagement efforts including marketing collateral distribution, coordinating visitor discount program, among other activities
- Provide general support for gift processing and records management for Membership
- Provide support for in-person and digital events, photo/video shoots, and Tourism initiatives.
- Helps train membership and marketing interns as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 1-2 years marketing or membership experience; digital and email experience preferred
- Detail oriented with the ability to meet deadlines
- Experience with the media landscape for traditional and digital tactics
- Familiarity with social platforms a plus
- Asana, Mailchimp, Raiser’s Edge, HTML, Microsoft and Apple suite all valuable skills for this role
- Ability to communicate clearly and confidently in writing and in person
- Interest in modern and contemporary art and culture preferred
- Evening and weekend work for event staffing as assigned
Compensation & Benefits
- Fixed compensation of $50,000-52,000 per annum
