GLI has created a wide variety of physical traveling exhibitions that are rented or purchased by schools and libraries across the United States. These informative, colorful panel exhibitions cover major topics in American history and feature primary source documents, many from the Gilder Lehrman Collection. In support of the Gilder Lehrman Collection, the Collection Outreach Intern will perform the following duties:
- Administrative duties for the rights and reproductions program and traveling exhibitions program
- Assist with booking, shipping, and maintaining traveling exhibitions
- Facilitate new reference requests
- Assist with captioning reference materials
Desired Skills:
- Comfort communicating professionally with venues and researchers
- Organization and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects at once
- Previous experience in an administrative role is a plus
Skills to be Developed:
- Project management
- Adobe Acrobat, Google Suite, Salesforce
