Book Breaks is a weekly interview series with historians held every Sunday at 2 p.m. ET on Zoom. Each week a host interviews a scholar about their most recent book followed by a Q&A with the at-home audience. In support of the Book Breaks program, the Book Breaks Intern will perform the following duties:
- Create professional development certificates for participants
- Help manage the Book Breaks email inbox by responding to inquiries
- Occasionally manage the Q&A chat section of a Sunday Book Breaks session
Desired Skills:
- Attention to detail, quick thinking, and professionalism on camera
- American history major or minor
- Google Suite
Skills to be Developed:
- Administrative skills
- Public speaking and facilitating Q&A sessions
- Further in-depth knowledge of in American history
- Zoom, Google Suite, Salesforce, and Excel
