2023-24 ACLS Fellowship and Grant Competitions
The American Council of Learned Societies (ACLS) is pleased to announce the 2023-24 ACLS fellowship and grant competitions are now open for select programs. ACLS offers programs that promote research across the full spectrum of humanities and interpretive social science fields.
Our application, peer review, and award processes aim to advance inclusive excellence, and we welcome applicants from groups that are underrepresented in the academic humanities and from across the diverse landscape of higher education.

Application deadlines vary by program. ACLS is now accepting applications for fellowship and grant programs with September and October deadlines. Other programs, including the new ACLS Open Access Books Prize, will begin accepting applications in the coming months,

In addition to the wide range of fellowship and grant competitions, ACLS is pleased to hold the competition for the inaugural ACLS Open Access Book Prize and Arcadia Open Access Publishing Award
by Arcadia, a charitable fund of Lisbet Rausing and Peter Baldwin.
Publishers may submit nominations from July 5-September 1, 2023
