The Job
To achieve contributed revenue goals through the development of strategy and management of annual giving and membership solicitation, and the oversight of advancement resources, including donor and gift entry, reporting and analytics, list management and segmentation, and optimal Advancement use of CRM platforms.
In this role, you will….
1. Set goals and strategy for fundraising solicitation for annual gifts and memberships (individual gifts up to $2,500), and integrate across multiple platforms, including direct mail, onsite, and online.
- Develop and implement segmentation and solicitation strategy to raise funds via membership acquisition, monthly renewals, upgrade requests, and additional gifts.
- Manage staff and external vendors, providing oversight for creation of print and digital materials.
- Ensure coordination with internal Audience Engagement and Visitor Experience teams.
- Provide recommendations for and oversee integration of mailing lists, audience data, Mia web site, online ticketing/membership platforms, and social media tools to support member recruitment and annual giving.
2. Fulfill division needs for data analytics and ensure optimum functionality and successful use of technical resources and tools to support fundraising and donor engagement.
- Manage the functionality of CRM platforms for Advancement in a manner that results in optimum use of the system for storing, outputting, and tracking data to achieve fundraising goals.
- Represent Advancement on internal teams to resolve database system issues and implement new and revised functionality to meet current, anticipated, and future fundraising needs.
- Produce fundraising reports and serve as key liaison for Advancement metrics and data to Finance and Data Strategy and Insights teams.
- Compile specialty mailing lists and oversee training to support all division needs for data output.
- Oversee technical needs for data screening and prospect research.
3. Manage team responsible for donor and gift entry, information management, fundraising reporting, and data output.
- Establish and maintain policies, procedures, and workflows, including process improvements.
- Oversee entry of all unrestricted and restricted gifts, including complex gift entry, case resolution, and production of gift acknowledgements and receipts, membership cards, and other materials.
- Manage high level problem solving of individual donor cases or issues.
- Oversee staff participation on internal teams focused on CRM, data privacy, data integrity, and other related issues.
- Ensure data integrity and appropriate training of Advancement and other staff.
- Develop and manage departmental budget for fundraising solicitation, member stewardship, and resource needs.

You are highly organized, able to handle multiple priorities and interruptions, and can monitor and track projects to keep team members informed of deadlines. You have excellent written communication and editing skills and a high degree of accuracy.
Specific Requirements
Required:
- BA degree or higher, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in fundraising operations or sales administration, with demonstrated success in project management, solicitation, reporting, and staff management.
- Experience with direct mail and online fundraising or sales.
- Experience with Salesforce CRM platform.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to set priorities and work on multiple projects.
- Ability to represent the museum’s programs in an effective and professional manner.
- Computer proficiency in word processing, database, and spreadsheet programs.
Preferred:
- Experience in an arts fundraising setting.
- Experience with fundraising and ticketing applications, such as Ticketure and OneCause.
