Job Title: Anthropology Intern, Asian Ethnology

Location: New York, NY


The Asian Ethnology Fall 2023 Intern will assist with text-based and web-based research related to the curator’s work, annotate sources including web sites, make entries into EndNote program. The Intern will also make entries into the departments EndNote database, meet with their supervisor to report on progress, discuss problems, and strategize regarding next steps.

The expected salary for the Anthropology Intern, Asian Ethnology is $17.00/hour. This position is overtime eligible.

Pay will be determined based on several factors. The hiring range for the position at commencement is based on the type of work and the scope of responsibilities. The salary and placement offered is based on a number of individualized factors, including, but not limited to, skills, knowledge, training, education, credentials, areas of specialization and depth and scope of experience.

Required qualifications:

  • Enrolled in or completed, BA degree program.
  • Research abilities (ability to summarize texts and extract key points)
  • Great writing skills.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Knowledge of EndNote program highly desirable.
  • Asian studies background/interest highly desirable.
