The Museum of Modern Art is currently accepting applications for a Development Associate in the Institutional Giving Department. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Institutional Giving and Global Partnerships, the Development Associate assists with stewardship of the Museum’s major corporate and foundation donors regarding sponsorship crediting, messaging, content, and collateral.
Responsibilities Include
- Drafts and maintains donor credit lines for exhibitions, education, publications, and other Museum special projects. Tracks changes and shares up-to-date crediting information with Graphic Design, Publications, and other internal departments as needed.
- Develops copy, visuals, and presentation materials to be used by the Institutional Giving team in solicitation of Corporate Sponsorship, Corporate Membership, and Foundations; and for Film, Exhibition, and Education restricted program funds.
- Gathers Museum information for use by corporate and foundation donors in their sponsorship communications and activations. Routes sponsor materials for internal Museum approvals. Maintains detailed files of sponsor and partner marketing collateral.
- Collects quantitative and qualitative data on the earned value and impact of sponsorship benefits and activations. Assists Manager of Institutional Giving in planning for internal and external reporting on sponsorship impact.
- Conducts ongoing market research on partnership marketing and initiatives undertaken by both non-profit and for-profit companies.
- Performs any other duties reasonably related to the functions described above.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and three to five years’ experience in museum fundraising, content marketing, editorial, or equivalent.
- Superior creative writing, proofreading, and editing skills.
- Ability to work independently and on multiple projects simultaneously against strict deadlines. Superior organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Interest in and knowledge of modern and contemporary art.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite or other creative applications, project management, and content production experience all a plus.
Salary: The salary for this position is $58,290 per annum
