Major Gifts Officer at the Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation

Description

The Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation is seeking an accomplished Major Gifts Officer who has proven frontline development experience in the cultivation and solicitation of private funds and actively works towards attaining major/restricted fundraising goals. This position will manage a portfolio of prospects capable of making major gifts of $25,000 or more for annual, capital, endowment or special projects in support of our mission and strategic goals.

What are the qualifications for this position? 

• Track record of identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding donors, resulting in gifts of at least $10,000+, preferably with gifts over $25,000.
• Minimum of five years in fundraising leadership, with a demonstrated track record of success in face to face solicitations.
• Ability to identify new prospects, and through successful cultivation and solicitation strategies, move them to major gift donors.
• Ability to meet annual assigned performance metrics for gift officer activity and fundraising results
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and superb interpersonal skills 

What are the salary and benefits? 

The salary for this position is $50,000-$60,000 annually.
