Department: Development

Reports to: Director of Development

The Capital Jewish Museum is seeking a Membership Coordinator to join our team at a pivotal moment. Help us open the newest cultural institution in DC. Reporting to the Director of Development, the Coordinator will be an integral part of our development operations. They will spearhead and help grow our new Membership program, diligently manage our CRM and online giving platform and campaigns.

 

Requirements

Duties and Responsibilities

· Manage and grow new Membership Program

· Process donor gifts using Salesforce

· Generate donor reports, database queries, and donor lists

· Import data into Salesforce, and maintain integration with other software databases

· Develop online campaigns using Classy platform

· Prepare and mail donor acknowledgement letters and tribute acknowledgements, and other Development communications

· Answer donor inquiries via e-mail, phone, and in-person

· Assist with monthly reconciliation processes between Finance and Development

· Assist with planning and execution of donor and opening events

· Manage a grants calendar and assist with applications and reporting

· Assist with prospect research

Skills and Abilities

· Experience with database management and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software, preferably Salesforce-based. General comfort with technology

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· Good attention to detail and follow-through

· Excellent customer service skills

· Knowledge of Development best practices preferred

Qualifications

· At least one year of nonprofit development and database/CRM experience

· Experience working in a cultural institution preferred

· Passion for the work and mission of the Museum
