LMI is seeking a Partnership Development Specialist at our headquarters office in McLean, VA. This position will support NASA’s workforce experience activities for students grades K-16 with a STEM focus.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and leverage a network of relationships on behalf of NASA internships and fellowships with STEM education stakeholders, partners, and organizations.
  • Support student-authored and independently conceived graduate research proposals, with a focus on increasing underrepresented and underserved participation across the research disciplines.
  • Execute outreach strategy to maximize exposure to relevant stakeholders, with emphasis on underrepresented communities in the STEM fields.
  • Coordinate outreach event design and manage participant content development.
  • Drive event success measures, including participation levels, participant satisfaction rates, and government client satisfaction.
  • Manage and develop content for relevant social media accounts.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to review, edit, and coordinate publication process of social media and outreach events.
  • Provide support for and initiate ideas for a range of outreach collateral including articles, videos, handouts/factsheets, webpages, and posters.
  • Work collaboratively with fellow business specialists to address related tasks effectively.
  • Prepare, coordinate, and review official presentations, information and action memos, concept papers, official responses to public correspondence, and articles. 
  • Support activities, meetings, and projects with the development of meeting agendas, meeting minutes, management plans, and execution strategies.
  • Perform special projects as requested.

 

Qualifications

  • B.A. or B.S. degree
  • 3 years of work experience
  • Ability to develop a variety of written and presentation-based work products and deliverables
  • Ability to work in a team-based environment
  • Ability to travel to and work on client sites as needed
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and presentation skills
  • Excellent customer relationship management skills
  • Ability to obtain a public trust clearance
