Position Description
The Program Manager will provide leadership, direction, and coordination of Museum Hue’s programs for members and the larger public. They are responsible for the research, development, planning, scheduling, managing, implementing, and evaluating an array of program activities. The individual in this position will ensure that the programs serve Museum Hue’s mission, ensuring the message is consistent and engaging. Their main duties include creating engaging high-quality content, which includes virtual, hybrid, and in-person programming. The individual in this position will be in charge of engaging Museum Hue’s community and building brand recognition through innovative and exciting programming. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator, with brilliant presentation and organizational skills.
Responsibilities:

Design and facilitate program activities for Museum Hue’s community;

Foster a sense of community for members by providing opportunities to learn, connect, and network through programs;

Cultivate relationships with arts leaders and other stakeholders;

Expand webinar series, recorded interviews, and all other virtual programs;

Collect assets (photographs, videos, etc) for the programs/database/website;

Explore grant funding opportunities and assist with writing grant reports;

Draft and schedule various email communications using Mailchimp;

Assist in administrative needs: update website, member database, mailing lists, etc;

Develop workshop and other professional development opportunities;
-
Contribute to the creation of a comprehensive list of Black, Indigenous, and other people of color’s arts entities;

Assess the possibilities of safe in-person programmatic activities;
-
Manage budgets for program activities;
-
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
-
Has access to technology to work remotely;
-
Can attend in-person monthly meetings in accordance with COVID-safe policies;
-
Familiarity with New York’s arts and cultural landscape;
-
Interest in Black, Indigenous, and other people of color’s arts and culture;
-
At least 4-5 years experience in the arts & culture field;
-
Professional interpersonal communication skills, written, oral, and over Zoom;
-
Excellent organizational, analytical, problem solving, and interpreting data skills;
-
Well-organized, attentive to details, and goal-oriented;
-
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Suite, Zoom, and social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter);

Enjoys working in teams and collaborating; and has a good sense of humor.
Additional Information:

This position works a 40-hour workweek, generally Monday through Friday.

Requires travel, approximately 35% of working time.

Some evenings and weekends required.
