Contemporary artist Petah Coyne’s studio is currently looking for fall interns to assist in maintaining our archives.

Internship Responsibilities:

Interns would work closely with staff and the Studio Manager organizing and maintaining artist archives that span over three decades. Specific projects include working with photography archive materials, such as 35mm slides and 4×5 chromes, scanning and organizing paper files and press, organizing digital files according to established studio archival practices, updating the artwork database, and building a visual archive of the artist’s work.

We’re interested in interns who are thorough, diligent, and enjoy working on long-term projects that require meticulous record-keeping. Students with administrative experience and interest in the visual arts would be preferred.

Fall interns would be expected to start in September and work 2-3 days per week, from 9AM to 5PM, for a minimum of 3 months. The studio, located in West New York, New Jersey, is easily accessible via public transport, and interns will be reimbursed for up to $15.00 a day in travel expenses. We are also happy to complete any necessary steps for students seeking credit.
