Position Overview

The Membership & Annual Fund Manager ensures the successful implementation of strategies and campaigns to support the National Nordic Museum’s fund development goals. The position oversees all aspects of the Museum’s Annual Fund and Membership programs and serves as the lead user for the Salesforce CRM.

Essential Job Functions

Strategy and Evaluation
•    Develop and execute multi-channel membership renewal and acquisition strategies.
•    Ensure initiatives are effective; make recommendations as needed to optimize results.
•    Devise strategies to increase donor engagement.
•    Maintain key business reports and metrics; prepare weekly and monthly dashboards.
Management and Tasks
•    Manage constituent records, relationships, gifts, funds, and campaigns within CRM.
•    Process gifts and memberships, produce acknowledgements and tax receipts.
•    Issue new and renewing member materials.
•    Administer matching gifts and workplace giving for multiple funds.
•    Reconcile development records with Finance Department.
Relationship Management
•    Provide outstanding customer support and respond to member and donor inquiries.
•    Thank donors in sincere, thoughtful, and creative ways.
•    Organize member and donor stewardship events including exhibition openings.
•    Cultivate and steward relationships and inspire constituents to increase engagement. 
CRM and Data Management
•    Serve as Museum’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) lead. 
•    Ensure that the process for recording gifts, grants, and other forms of support are aligned with Salesforce best practices.
•    Maintain documentation for NNM’s Salesforce usage guidelines and procedures.
Other/General
•    Support other development initiatives and special events as assigned.
•    Help engage the broader Museum in creating a culture of philanthropy.
•    Provide outstanding representation of the Museum.

Requirements

•    BA or equivalent and 5+ years’ relevant experience. Membership experience preferred 
•    Occasional weekend and evening work
•    Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Outlook, Excel, Publisher, and PowerPoint
•    Proficient in Salesforce or comparable CRM software
•    Proficient in PC platform
•    Valid driver’s license
•    Ability to lift 20lbs
•    Ability to be seated/standing for extended periods
