Capital Campaign Manager at New-York Historical Society
Job Title: Capital Campaign Manager
Job Status: Full-time
Salary: $70,000 – $80,000
About New-York Historical Society
Visitors experience 400 years of history through groundbreaking exhibitions, immersive films, and thought-provoking conversations among renowned historians and public figures at the New-York Historical Society, New York’s first museum. A great destination for history since 1804, the Museum and the Patricia D. Klingenstein Library convey the stories of the city and nation’s diverse populations, expanding our understanding of who we are as Americans and how we came to be.
About The Campaign For The Future Of History
The New-York Historical Society and American LGBTQ+ Museum have embarked on a capital campaign to support the construction of an exquisite 70,000 square-foot building designed by Robert A. M. Stern on a New-York Historical-owned adjacent lot that currently serves as a rear courtyard. Importantly, for both organizations, the historic partnership between New York’s first museum and its newest one will “de-marginalize” LGBTQ+ history: the American LGBTQ+ Museum’s prominent location in this new building provides a powerful statement that LGBTQ+ history is integral to American history. The building as a whole will be dedicated to public education and learning, with stunning new public gallery spaces as well as much-needed additional classrooms, outdoor space, and offices, and underground stacks to safely store our expansive Library collections and increase their accessibility.
