Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Museum Registrar for the Zimmerli Art Museum. Reporting to the Director, the Registrar is responsible for the overall performance of the Registration Department in its care and storage of the University Art Collection.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
- Maintenance of all records pertaining to that collection, as well as exhibitions and loans of art objects coming into and leaving the museum.
- Supervises two Associate Registrars, an Assistant Registrar, a Digitization Assistant; a Preparator; work-study students and interns.
- When scheduling demands, the Registrar will also supervise contract registrars working on specific projects.
This is a full-time position.
Salary range: 69,353 – 106,215
