Position Summary

The Employee Experience Manager is a strategic brand expert and communicator who works to develop, implement and sustain our Whitney brand and ignite our staff’s talent and engagement. Develops, manages, and implements organizational strategies and communication plans to foster and maintain our inspiring culture, including but not limited to talent acquisition, employee engagement, and learning and development to optimize the museum experience for staff and visitors. An integral part of the EE Manager role is to leverage resources across the institution and position the Whitney as the preeminent museum to work for.

The ideal candidate will be customer-focused, has a positive attitude, possess exceptional communication skills, and have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Internal applicants are strongly encouraged to apply

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree plus 2-3 years’ experience, preferably in a museum.

Proficient in MS Office Suite

Proactive problem-solving skills

Knowledge of Paypro, JazzHR, Concur, and other relevant databases required.

Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff (orally and written)

A winning mindset, unbiased thought process and can-do attitude

Complete discretion – routinely deal with confidential matters

Kindness and a commitment to the Whitney

Ability to pivot and work in a fast-paced environment
