Salary: $40,000
Overview:
CITYarts, a NoHo-based art and education organization in operation since 1989, is looking for a dedicated, hard-working, organized, and creative individual for the position of Office Administrator/Assistant to the Director. This is an excellent
opportunity for someone interested in a career path within the non-profit arts administration field. We are looking for someone with relevant office and administrative experience who shares a passion for CITYarts’ mission to bring youth and professional artists together to create public art, a creative process that empowers youth and connects children locally and around the world to become active participants in transforming communities while impacting their lives. This is a full-time position with the potential for growth.
Responsibilities:
-Provide administrative assistance to the Director which may include external communications, preparing spreadsheets and presentations, managing calendars and appointments, and making travel arrangements.
-Work closely with the Director on potential and special projects
-Office management/clerical support during regular office hours of 10am-6pm, M-F
-Public relations and press outreach: assist with timelines for newsletters and mailings for online and printed marketing materials in coordination with design consultants, staff, and inters
-Assistance with special events, Annual Gala, and exhibition coordination
-Light bookkeeping: Handle petty cash expenditures and occasionally assist the Development Manager and Bookkeeper to process incoming donations, and keep records of general operating expenses.
-When needed, occasionally collaborate with Project Coordinator on certain aspects of current projects
-Data entry on the organization’s CRM (Salesforce) to track donors, volunteers, and other important contacts
-Oversee occasional updates to the CITYarts website (Squarespace)
-Keep track of office inventories and supplies
Qualifications:
-Minimum of 1 year in related work setting
-A degree in Arts or Arts Administration, Non-profit Management, or similar field is a big plus
-Ability to handle multiple tasks thoroughly and efficiently
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-Organizational skills with attention to detail
-Prior fundraising and development experience is a plus- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite
-Familiarity with CRM software such as Salesforce, & marketing platforms such as Constant Contact is a plus
-Outstanding interpersonal skills, including a desire to learn; the ability to be flexible and proactive; and the ability to accept direction and work independently
Benefits:
– Starting salary $40000
-2 weeks (10 working days) accrued vacation
-May join in 403B
