For immediate start, Artadia is seeking undergraduate or graduate level students interested in learning more about how small non-profit art organizations are run. Ideal candidates will have a strong interest in contemporary art/ arts administration and be proficient in Photoshop and Illustrator. The intern will work closely with Artadia’s Development Assistant and Program Assistant on various administrative tasks including grant research, special event planning and database management.
Interns will support and gain expertise:
- Research: foundations, granting organizations, corporate sponsorship, government agencies, individuals, and more
- Development Support: Support the coordination of Artadia’s national membership program, and special event planning, Managing donor tracking through Artadia’s Salesforce database
- Social Media: Assist with the implementation of social media strategy across all platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter
- Program Support: catalogue artist news, use mailchimp to assist with email campaigns and monthly newsletter, update salesforce with artist and curator information
Applicants should have a high attention to detail and be organized, motivated, and self-directed. Good writing and research skills are also important, as is a professional and comfortable phone manner. Proficiency with programs including Microsoft Office, Photoshop, Illustrator, Google Drive are required. Experience with Salesforce, Mailchimp, and WordPress is preferred but not required.
Interns should be available for 16 hours per week for a minimum of three months. Punctuality and a consistent schedule is requested. Artadia offers school credit as compensation for this position.
