Museum Engagement Coordinator – Museum Hue
Position description
The Membership Engagement Coordinator will provide support for Museum Hue’s members and activities. Applying a strong sense of customer service, this position recommends and implements procedures and programs, maintains accurate records and communicates with members. The individual in this position will ensure the efficient and effective coordination of data and content needed. The successful candidate will be able to execute the following tasks with the highest skill level:
Responsibilities:
Membership
- Oversee memberships, member benefits, communications, and programs;
- Foster a sense of community for members by providing customer care and response;
- Answer inquiries, provide follow-up and log calls from response to resolution;
- Manage membership and communications databases;
- Make recommendations for services and programs for members;
- Develop and distribute member data and engagement reports, surveys, etc;
- Build awareness among members regarding new and existing member benefits
Communication
- Help in shaping the vision and execution of programming for members;
- Produce collateral and content for website (ie. blog posts, articles) and social media;
- Write compelling copy that helps in membership, marketing, fundraising, etc as required;
- Manage and updates jobs board, MailChimp database, newsletter;
- Evaluate and improve marketing and communications;
- Issues press releases and media alerts as necessary;
- Collect testimonials from various members;
Qualifications:
- Familiarity with the museum landscape within the United States;
- 1-3 years experience in membership/marketing and customer service in museums;
- Professional interpersonal communication skills, written, oral, and over Zoom;
- Excellent organizational, analytical, problem solving, and interpreting data skills;
- Well-organized, attentive to details, and goal-oriented;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Suite, Zoom, and social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter);
- Project management skills, working experience in fundraising or sales;
- Enjoys working in teams and collaborating; and has a good sense of humor;
- Has access to technology to work remotely.
Compensation:
$29.50 per hour
A year-long commitment for an independent contractor.
This work will be 25-30 hours per week to be finalized in discussion.
Fee payable upon mutually agreed to deliverables schedule.
No benefits are offered.

Education:
Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Arts Administration, Art History, Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, or related field required
