Social Media and Digital Content Coordinator at Art Omi

  • Art Omi seeks Social Media and Digital Content Coordinator to help manage Art Omi’s online presence, including its social media platforms and web content. This position will work closely with the Communications Director to produce regular, high-quality multichannel content, and to assure that Art Omi’s mission, goals, and brand standards are supported throughout. The Social Media and Digital Content Coordinator must be an effective communicator, creative, and detail-oriented.

    Major Areas of Responsibility

    • In collaboration with the Communications Director, draft, edit, and post original social media content for the Art Omi’s social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, as well as new channels that may develop in the future).
    • Contribute to the writing, photography, videography, and audio production for publishing to Art Omi’s social media channels.
    • Develop and track engagement goals, and develop and deliver reports about these goals to the Communications Director.
    • Maintain a clear and distinctive voice across all platforms, which reflects Art Omi’s mission, goals, and brand standards.
    • Monitor and respond to constituent responses on social media in a timely and professional manner.
    • Contribute to and adhere to organizational standards related to the archiving of Art Omi’s digital assets, including program and event documentation.
    • Implement content edits and new posts on Art Omi’s website via its content management system (Kirby).
    • As needed and on a project-basis, support improvements to Art Omi’s digital platforms through involvement in website development and maintenance, email marketing, and CRM strategies.

    Qualifications

    Qualified candidates will possess:

    • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading abilities.
    • Fluency across a variety of social media, CRM, and CMS platforms.
    • Photo and video editing skills, and an ability to produce original content.
    • Excellent organizational abilities, including ability to prioritize deadlines and assignments effectively.
    • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, Google Docs, Mac OS, and other administrative softwares.
    • Experience working around (or knowledge of) contemporary arts.

    Candidates will demonstrate a commitment to Art Omi’s mission, working to advance its position within the field and an ability to advocate effectively for the organization and its goals in professional and social settings.

    Work Environment

    Due to the ongoing covid-19 pandemic, this position is currently 100% remote. An onsite workspace will be established following resumption of normal office operations (est. summer / fall 2021). Following this time, the position will be able to do some remote work, but will be required to report to Art Omi at least weekly for content production, events, staff meetings, and other job functions. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet, and occasionally moderate or noisy. The Benenson Center is an ADA accessible building.
