‘T’ Space seeks a Development and Marketing Assistant

The Steven Myron Holl Foundation seeks a development and marketing assistant to support marketing, development, and program administration. The Foundation is an arts and education nonprofit. Programs are held at its art gallery, ‘T’ Space, and surrounding 30-acre nature reserve in Rhinebeck, NY.

Programs include a residency for emerging architects, an outdoor performance series, and a summertime exhibition series. Artistic programming examines the use and engagement with physical space in art.

Reporting to the Director and Curator, the successful candidate will be passionate about the arts and architecture, have experience in development and/or marketing, a strong eye for detail, and excellent organizational skills. The incumbent will also work closely with the Director and Curator to develop concepts and strategies in order to improve results across activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare direct and digital mail materials for individual donors, including solicitations and acknowledgments.
  • Prepare narratives, budgets, work samples and other collateral for grant proposals.
  • Prepare reports and other communications for institutional funders.
  • Maintain accurate donor records in CRM software.
  • Support donor acquisition campaigns and other fundraising initiatives as required.
  • Contribute constructively to our small team and seek to improve results across development responsibilities.
  • Prepare communications collateral including press releases, brochures, and email newsletters.
  • Manage the Foundation’s social media accounts.
  • Prepare information packets, web pages and other content for the Foundation’s architecture Residency program.
  • Support day-to-day administrative activities.

Desired skills and experiences:

  • Bachelor’s degree and one year experience working in a nonprofit environment
  • Strong writing skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Knowledge of social media best practices
  • Strong time management, self-motivation, communication skills.
  • Comfort with list management and proficiency with Mail Merge
  • Experience in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • Experience working with a donor database and Mailchimp.
  • Grant writing experience preferred.
