Digital Content Editor Volunteer – Art in Odd Places (Temporary)
New York City non-profit art organization Art in Odd Places (AiOP) seeks a dynamic volunteer as the AiOP Digital Content Editor on all of our social media platforms. AiOP is a thematic annual festival that presents visual and performance art in public spaces along 14th Street in Manhattan, NYC.
This year Art in Odd Places 2019: INVISIBLE scheduled for October 17-20 along 14th Street curated by AiOP veteran artist LuLu LoLo, will feature artists who are sixty years old and older – working solo or collectively with other older artists or in various forms of intergenerational collaboration.
Responsibilities:
- Create daily posts on all platforms
- Research public/street art on an ongoing basis
- Meet emerging and established public artists
- Create a social media strategy
- Have the freedom to explore and write on art-related topics of their choice
- Participate in our exciting annual public art festival
- Have a flexible schedule
What we’re looking for:
- A person with a pointed interest in public art and social media
- A good writer
- An independent self-starter
There is no Art in Odd Places office so everyone works from their own computer and phone.

AiOP also produces an annual festival along 14th Street in Manhattan, NYC from Avenue C to the Hudson River each October.
