Curator of Collections and Exhibitions at Binghamton University

The Binghamton University Art Museum seeks an energetic and engaging Curator of Collections and Exhibitions who will initiate, organize, and implement an ambitious exhibition.

This full-time position requires a commitment to the study and interpretation of the permanent collection of approximately 4,000 objects and a focus on collaborative endeavors that are interdisciplinary in nature.

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Art History or related field, PhD preferred
  • 3-5 years of curatorial experience
  • Proven skills in research, writing and communication for a general and scholarly audience
  • Knowledge of standard curatorial practices and exhibition development
  • Experience in object-based teaching
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability and desire to work collaboratively with faculty and students across disciplines
  • Experience with digital media and emerging technologies

Salary: Commensurate with education and experience
