SENIOR EXHIBITIONS PROJECT MANAGER
POSITION OVERVIEW : The senior exhibitions project manager works within the exhibitions department to manage new and rotating displays in the museum galleries that chronicle the 9/11 attacks, the events that preceded them, and their aftermath.Projects may include installations in the museum’s permanent core exhibitions, Special Exhibitions Gallery,smaller rotating galleries, and at off-site locations.The project manager’s work entails the coordination of detailed project schedules and budgets, content development, external exhibition design consultants and other vendors, preparation for fabrication and installation, and internal stakeholder reviews. They will also contribute to long-term planning about project management processes within departmental and institutional priorities, serving as an advocate for best practices and refining procedures. The project manager will supervise at least one full-time project management employee. This is a full-time, exempt position that reports to the senior vice president for exhibitions.
