ArtTable Diversity Fellowship Opportunities Summer 2019
Since 2000, ArtTable has conducted a fellowship program that addresses the marked lack of diversity in arts employment. There have been 81 recipients, many of whom have gone on to successful careers in the visual arts field. The objective of ArtTable’s Diversity Fellowship Program is to provide quality experiences and mentorship for female graduate students from backgrounds generally underrepresented in the field to aid their transition from academic to professional careers. Through one-on-one mentoring relationships with ArtTable members, fellows have the opportunity to work with an established leader in the field and gain exposure to a range of professional activities. Each fellow will receive a $3,000 stipend for an eight week commitment.
This year we are pleased to offer five Fellowships. These positions are made possible thanks to funding from the Lenore G. Tawney Foundation, the Pierre & Tana Matisse Foundation, and ArtTable founding member, Lila Harnett, and ArtTable members’ Catherine Hannah Behrend and Elaine Goldman.Qualified students are welcome to apply to one or more projects. Eligibility and Application information can be found below theses project descriptions.
